What a lovely cal… the colours are so Beautiful… just been over to Lovecraft’s and bought the pack… I am a beginner but I will try to keep up… Thank you Sarah for your wonderful inspiration…see you on the 16th July…
You’re very welcome ๐
Looking forward to starting this cal, I have a grandchild due soon and we donโt know the sex until itโs born, and this would be perfect for either boy or girl
How many squares would i need to make? Or how many squares will the yarn pack make?
Canโt wait to start this so looking forward to the finished product thank you
You’re very welcome ๐
Hi Sarah-Jayne
Love all your work and so excited about the abstract blanket. I stayed up late to get started as itโs 11pm here in Australia. Was just watching your tutorial on square one. With the border did you use white or vanilla cream.
tracey
Hi Tracey I used vanilla cream ๐
Hi, pardon my ignorance I’ve only been doing crochet for a short while, but what does “cal” mean?
Hi Jacqueline it means crochet along ๐
Love this blanket and have purchased the wool ready to start. Can I just confirm that this should be a 6mm crochet hook as the pattern suggests Aran weight wool.
You should use whatever hook your yarn label suggests ๐
Thank you for this lovely pattern.
If I wanted to make this as a regular sized (ie not a baby sized) blanket, how many extra squares would you suggest Iโd need to make?
Thank you
You’re welcome It depends on the overall size you want to make but I would suggest adding an extra two columns (and therefore an extra two rows to keep the blanket in proportion) to start and then adding more if you wanted it to be bigger still. You could also keep the number of squares the same but use a thicker yarn and larger hook.
Hi – I have no clue why my question was not approved but would love an answer on if I could use the same brand of paintbox colors but in cotton instead of polyester. please
Yes, you would be able to substitute the yarn for the cotton variant instead no problem
I cannot find the diagram for your color layout. Could you tell me where to find it. Such a beautiful blanket.
