Terms & Abbreviations
Chain(s): ch(s): Yarn over, pull through loop on the hook.
Slip Stitch(s): ss(s): Insert hook, yarn over, pull through stitch and loop on hook.
Double Crochet(s): dc(s): Insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have two loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through remaining two loops.
Treble Crochet(s): tr(s):Yarn over, insert into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have three loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through two loops, yarn over, pull through the remaining two loops.
Special Stitches
Shell Stitch: (ShSt): Work 5 tr in indicated stitch.

Little Fans Stitch Pattern

Foundation: Chain in multiples of 6 + 2.
Row 1: Dc in second ch from hook (skipped ch does not count as st), *skip 2 ch, ShSt in next ch, skip 2 ch, dc in next ch; repeat from * across. Turn.
Row 2: 5 ch (counts as tr and 2-ch), *dc in middle tr of next ShSt, 2 ch, tr in next dc, 2 ch; repeat from * across, omitting last 2 ch on final repeat. Turn.
Row 3: 3 ch (counts as tr), 2 tr in same st as 3-ch, *skip ch sp, dc in next st, skip ch sp, ShSt in next tr, skip ch sp, dc in next st; repeat from * across to last ch sp, 3 tr in third ch of 5-ch. Turn.
Row 4: 3 ch (counts as dc and 2-ch), *skip 2 sts, tr in next dc, 2 ch, skip 2 sts, dc in centre tr of ShSt, 2 ch; repeat from * across, working last dc in top of 3-ch and omitting last 2 ch. Turn.
Row 5: 1 ch (does not count as st), dc in first st, *skip ch sp, ShSt in next tr, skip ch sp, dc in next st; repeat from * across, working last dc in last ch. Turn.
Repeat Rows 2–5 until desired height.
Fasten off and sew in ends.
