This stitch is more effective when using heavier weight yarn (aran weight and above). Be aware though, this stitch will ONLY work in the round making it great for the following type of projects..

    Chain: ch(s): Yarn over, pull through.

    Slip Stitch(s): ss(s): Insert hook, yarn over, pull through stitch and loop on hook.

    Special Stitches

    Crossed Double Crochet(s): cdc(s): Insert hook into next st, yarn under, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through both loops on the hook.

    Cross Stitch Pattern

    You are viewing this pattern in UK terms.

    Foundation: Ch in multiples of 1 to your desired size and form a circle.

    Round 1: Ch 1 (does not count as a st), cdc in each stitch around. Ss to first st.

    Repeat Row 1 until you reach your desired height.


    Fasten off and sew in ends.
