    Materials Tools

    Convert Pattern Terms

    Here you can quickly switch between UK and US crochet terms. This will make following the pattern easier as all terms will be converted to your preferred version.

    Terms & Abbreviations

    • Stitch(s): st(s)
    • Chain(s): ch(s): Yarn over, pull through loop on the hook.
    • Treble Crochet(s): tr(s): Yarn over, insert into stitch, yarn over, pull up a loop, you will have three loops on the hook. Yarn over, pull through two loops, yarn over, pull through remaining two loops.
    • Puff Stitch: For this stitch, you will yarn over and insert the hook into the next stitch. Yarn over and pull through. This process will be repeated 4 times and you will end up with 9 loops on your hook which will be bunched together. Yarn over and pull through all of the loops on the hook.

    Ch 5 and join to make a circle

    Round 1: ch 3, (ch 1, PS) five times, ch 1. Join with ss to top of beg ch-3 <5 PS, 6 ch-1>

    Round 2: Ch 6 (counts as tr and ch 3), *skip ch-1, (3 tr, ch 1, 3 tr) in top of PS, ch 3; repeat from * three more times. Skip ch-1, (3 tr, ch 1, 2 tr) in top of PS, join with as in third ch from beg-ch. <30 tr, 6 ch-1, 6 ch-3>

    Round 3: *(3 tr, ch 3, 3 tr) in ch-3 sp, miss 3 sts, ss in ch-1 sp, miss 3 sts; repeat from * four more times. Ss in top of first tr. Fasten off. <30 tr, 6 ch-3, 6 ss>
