Easy crochet hearts
This mini crochet heart pattern can be worked up quickly and is a super easy crochet project for a complete beginner. The pattern is also adaptable, as you can switch it up by simply changing the yarn weight and hook size.
The mini heart pattern is made by starting with a magic ring (also known as a magic circle) and only has one round of stitches. A magic ring is a way to start crocheting in the round by starting the first part in an adjustable circle and then pulling the loop tight before continuing. I have also included a video tutorial to help you, if you’re a total beginner and have never tried the magic ring before:
If you would prefer not to use a magic ring, you could start off with a chain 3 instead. This would be a great option for Chenille yarn in particular, as chenille and magic rings don’t tend to be the best of friends!

Sizing: Yarn & Hooks
These hearts are so much fun to experiment with different yarns and hook sizes. If you are looking for some inspiration, here are some examples of hearts I have made with different types of yarn and hook sizes:

Materials & Tools
- Yarn – any weight and colour
- Crochet Hook – use the recommended hook size stated on the yarn band or adjust to your tension.
- Darning Needle
- Scissors

Have the pattern instructions changed since yesterday? I seem to be missing some as only row 1 is mentioned and then tie in your ends?
Thanks for your help
